The Flask, the Dirty and the Tiny

Kountze, Texas – I didn’t really plan this picture, I had in my mind the Subject: Inanimate Aging or Decay and when I saw these bottles they were a perfect fit. The light was just right, so I grabbed my camera and took the picture.

  • 1932 Studebaker on Route 66

    Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona – On our way back from California we made a stop to visit the Petrified Forest National Park, one of the pull outs in the Park was the historical roadbed of Route 66 with a 1932 Studebaker in exhibition.

  • Sunset Over Elk River

    Earleville, Maryland – Just when the sun was coming down a big ship passed and we couldn’t see it. But, fortunately, for me these clouds made an amazing post sunset. The orange sky is reflected over the little ponds between the rocks.

  • Mama Monkey

    Miyajima Island in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan - While walking up the stairs to Daisho In Temple you will be surrounded by 500 little Buddhist statues, each of them with a unique facial expression.

  • Peyto Lake

    Banff National Park, Canada - Peyto Lake distinctive blue color is product of large amounts of glacier rock flour that flow into it during the summer months. The color varies depending on the season and the time of the day.

  • Little Girl Sculpture at Cemetery

    Selma, Alabama – This was a field trip with the Trussville Photography Club to the historic Live Oak Cemetery, which contains a number of Confederate features. Visitors can stroll beneath the ancient oaks and magnolias draped in Spanish moss.

  • Kinlock Falls

    Bankhead National Forest, Alabama - This waterfall is so close to Kinlock Road that it is easy to get down to Hubbard Creek and view the bottom of the falls. This picture was taken downstream during the warm southern winter.

  • Sunset at Joshua Tree

    Joshua Tree National Park, California – We were driving the Park Boulevard when we saw the sunset in the mirrors and we had to stop to capture the view in a photograph.

  • Long Life Together

    Elk Neck State Park, Maryland – After a short and easy hike to the Turkey Point Lighthouse you will be in the south tip of the Elk Neck Peninsula, between the Chesapeake Bay and Elk River. This picture was taken in the afternoon during fall season, just a few leaves were standing on the top of the trees.
